Iskiselva have partnered with Ski School Selva who offer both ski hire and ski and snowboard lessons. Situated right in the centre of the village at 4 str Dantecepies for your convienience.

Ski School Selva can offer you technical advice and ensure your equipment is appropriate for your individual capabilities.

The right size skis and boots are critical and can make or break your skiing holiday. We encourage you to take the additional insurance for your skis and poles, it will be more than worth it if the skis get damaged or stolen. Snow boards and boots are also available. i-SKi-SELVA encourages you to hire helmets for your comfort and safety.

You will be able to change any of your equipment should you find that is not right for you on the slopes.

Tip: Your ski equipment is matched to your height and weight.
   Gents, we’re not suddenly six foot two and ladies, this is one time you have to tell it like it is.

i-SKi-SELVA suggests:

First time skiers skiing for 10 days or more, at least 5 days ski school.

First time skiers skiing for 6 days only, take a private instructor for up to 4 people for 3 days.

Intermediate skiers, take a guide on the second day to check your basics and improve technique.

Skis have changed over the years, understanding how your equipment works will change the way you skiing.

Ski Pass

Purchase from the ski pass office situated in the centre of the village. Be sure to take your passports with you to verify age related discounts, this is relevant for parties with kids. Children under 8 are free. There are group discounts, check with the office and make sure your whole party is together when paying.

i-SKi-SELVA recommends the Dolomiti Superskipass. It gives you full use of ski lifts in the surrounding villages, 12 zones and 1200km of prepared slopes. It also allows you to ski the famous Sella Ronda that takes you through 3 different provinces.

What’s a ski pass? A ski pass is a magnetic card to ski lifts for the duration of your stay. It is essential for all skiers.

On the slopes

  • Ski Jacket

  • Thermal leggings
  • Thermal long sleeve polo neck or ski top
  • Sweat shirt
  • Neck warmer or scarf
  • Helmet
  • Ski Goggles
  • Labello or Lip balm
  • Sunscreen

In the village

  • Warm jacket, preferably padded and waterproof
  • Sweat shirt
  • Long sleeve top or golfer
  • Jeans
  • Beanie

  • Waterproof shoes or boots with good track no heals ladies
  • Moonboots are recommended for kids
